Seeing this, Mercedes boss, Norbert Haug believes that Mercedes has made the right decision in delaying the debut of thier new car for 2012.

Mercedes will only make the on-track debut two weeks later in a second test in Barcelona. Haug said it is not “defer” but justadjust their own schedules. ”If you have a half-year period to develop a car, then 10 days can be very important,” said Norbert.

Rigon said,”This is a great encouragement for my future after what was atough 2011: Ferrari have always stood by me in the most difficult moments of my recovery after the accident last May and I hope tobe able to pay them to show their faith in me.”.

Ferrari also has stated Rigon is not an official reserve driver. It is expressed by Ferrari spokesman,”No,because we do not have the obligation to declare a reserve driver,”.
